I made and animated a bunch of game assets and interface for segments in Knowledge Channel TV shows for the past few years. These are where the graphic design aspect of the programs came into play. I've never done UI design and assets for games but that'd be something I want to do in the future since these are somewhat similar.
Note: I had to cut and edit most of the videos 'cause they were too long and I just wanted to show the graphics part of them.
This is Mang Rudy's Junk shop segment. The game requires arranging of words alphabetically. This also mirrors the viewer helping Mang Mario fix up his messy shop.
This one is the first "Bantay Gulay" game, or "Guard Vegetable"??? Haha "Bantay" can also mean prepare or to be ready.
This game is a simple matching game. Easy enough and hopefully fun for kids to join in.
Here's "Bantay Gulay" part 2. You can see a bit of my mediocre keying, but cut the most part of it since I'm focusing on the graphics on this vid. This time it's a guess the pic game sprinkled with a bit of trivia.
This is the Ilog Pantig game, which means Syllable River. The objective of this one is for you to guide Luisito Kahoy (work of another fellow artist) across by choosing the right rhyming syllable (1st or 2nd) according to the voiceover's instruction.
This is a simple matching game where you match the images to their word. The illustrating is the fun part for this segment.
I aimed for a colouring book or paper placemat design for this.
This is the most app-like among this bunch. The viewer has to guess the right phrasing for *number of baskets* group of *number of fruits in each basket*.
I'm not sure how to properly translate this one into English.
Probably my fave. It's "The Joke Bomb" diffusing game, which required putting the right words together to form the correct compound words.
This segment is so wacky I love it. Basically a funny superhero is trying to disarm this wordy bomb.
